生活に不可欠な電子機器を構成する半導体デバイスの省電力化と高機能化に注目が集まっている。窒化ガリウム(GaN)を用いたヘテロ接合構造を中心に新しい機能を有するデバイスの研究や、それらを実現する作製プロセスと超低消費電カシステムヘの応用技術の開発を進めている。
